Riven slate is a a shale comprising of a slit and clay that when blended together through a high heat process form a fine particle strong slate it is low in porosity and when sealed is virtually totally impermeable. This is one of the most hardwearing stones we do.
The name Riven refers to the surface of the tile meaning it has a unique textured surface. They are suitable for wall or floor use and are very effective within wet/domestic environments or external use.
